What a month we've had! On the 1st May, we were selected by Theo Paphitis as a winner of Small Business Sunday - the week afterwards, we were chosen by BrightPig as their Business of the Week - and today we learned that one of our cottages has received a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. Treneglos cottage, which gained the accolade, has unanimous excellent reviews, and as with all the cottages we make sure we respond to enquiries in a timely and courteous manner. It's even more rewarding to us, as TripAdvisor is only a small fraction of our overall bookings, and yet clearly we've done enough to receive this recognition. We hope it is the first certificate of many!
May 2017 - Once again, the South-West has excelled itself in 2017's Blue Flag awards, with nearly 1 in 5 of the nation's cleanest beaches being located in the region. Cornwall and Devon alone account for 18 of the awards but it's not just about clean water - Blue Flags are only awarded to beaches with the highest standards of water quality, safety, and beach facilities. So which beaches have made it onto the newly announced 2017 list? Read more to find out!
Local visitor attractions always put on their own events for the school holidays, but May half-term promises to be fantastic this year, with over a dozen events due to take place in the region. Two food festivals, two steam rallies, choir concerts, flowers and fayres - there'll be something for everyone! If we've missed something, let us know in the comments below.
